About us

My name is Charisse Rose-Morgan, founder and CEO of Treats by Reese.
I bake bread pudding in cupcake form. That’s my thing! I love it, I’m good at it, and if you try it for yourself, I think you’ll agree that I’ve got a good thing going here. I like to think of my cupcakes as a fun twist on an old classic that provides a perfect bite and simplifies the question of “how much is too much?”
In my family, bread pudding has always been a seasonal dessert that was only meant to be enjoyed once or twice a year at family gatherings. I have vivid memories of either my grandma, my mom, or one of my aunties bringing out a large baking pan full of bread pudding after dinner and everyone having to make room for dessert even though they were already full. My favorite part was always cutting a slice for myself and trying to get away with making it a little bigger than my brother’s slice because enough was never enough for us back then. If it was good, then we wanted more. It was just that simple.
The issue of “portion control” never really featured prominently in my youth but in my adult life, I’ve come to understand how important it can be. In particular, my husband has always struggled with his weight, and “portion control” is something we both need to be conscious of every day. He is my biggest supporter and favorite taste tester. It only made sense to keep him in mind as I created these delicious treats in a way that he could indulge without a huge concern about whether he was having “too much.”
Baking has been a passion of mine since childhood. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved the feeling of making people happy with my food. I first got the idea to turn my hobby into a business after baking bread pudding cupcakes for family and friends at a Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, everyone said, “you should sell those.” Fast forward to today, and here I am …making it happen. It is pretty incredible for me to even be here, and honestly, I am just grateful for the opportunity to share what I can do with the world.

My dream is to provide this dessert in a near guilt-free portion size, year-round, to anyone who wants to enjoy this pleasure. I look forward to sharing my passion with you and getting your feedback.
